Avoid Early Ventures and excursions Outside: Avoid going outside between 5-10am. This is when the pollen count is the highest. If you have a pollen allergy, the safest times to go out are late afternoon and immediately after rain.
Check Pollen Count Daily: Pollen counts measure the amount of airborne allergens present in the air. They are reported as grains per cubic meter of air. Universities, medical centres and clinics provide these counts on a volunteer basis
Know Your Plants which cause allergies: Many people look at a colourful field of flowers and think it’s filled with pollen. But those bright colours are there to attract insects, which carry the heavy pollen from plant to plant. The plants that aren’t colourful are the ones that spread pollen…and allergies.
Use Personal Protective Equipment when venturing outside in Pollen season: Use anti- pollution anti pollen masks/ N95 masks when going out of home or pollen protected areas. There are few personal air purifiers available too.
Clear all weeds around your house.
Taking a bath before bed to remove allergens from hair and skin.
